Transition Livestream Sessions

We are preparing for our 2025 Transition Livestream sessions and are looking for LLP member primary, secondary and special schools to take part. This year we would like to develop the sessions using a research framework to ensure that the sessions are fully pupil-led. We will be linking into the Transition Research being led by the University of Manchester. The livestream sessions will be available in June for all schools to watch. Whole School Approach Steering Group

The WSA education steering group will meet on Tuesday (18th March, 12:30-14:00). This group acts as a forum for schools to feed into and influence the WSA development plan. If anyone would like to be involved in these discussions, please join using the following link:

Arts4US Community Workshop

LLP are currently collaborating on Arts4Us, a national arts and mental health research project. The Arts4US research team are offering children and young people aged between 10-13 to attend an arts-based wellbeing workshop on Friday 21st March. The workshop will take place in Liverpool Lighthouse (Anfield) from 16:30-19:00. Children are encouraged to attend with their parents/carers – although with consent they can be left. Help Your Child Thrive

Plus One Learning CIC have delivered parental partnership programmes over 200 times to around 1500 families in 60+ schools in Liverpool, Wirral, Sefton and Wigan.

Please find attached a leaflet about their Help Your Child Thrive programme. The course is delivered by teachers with over 20 years classroom experience and written with support from current SENDCo with over 25 years experience.

All Ears Poetry Expo, 4th July

All Ears Poetry ltd, founded by 21 year old Liverpool Poet Joseph Roberts, is changing the stereotypes and misconceptions of poetry through high quality event experiences. They are holding the All Ears Poetry Expo 25 at the Liverpool Exhibition Centre 4th July.

A slot is open during the day 10am – 2:30pm exclusively for schools to attend in groups accompanied by their teachers. An enriching opportunity for young people to explore different stalls and engage in poetry/literacy based activities like never before.

Schools can also perform and engage in writing workshops/sessions. There are prizes to be won and every student will receive a certificate for their participation. There are 50 stalls offering different themes and skillsets which will support the students learning experience. Various organisations and initiatives will be there pushing poetry forward, with elements of careers and aspirations within the expo.

The schools event at the expo is available for pupils from Y5-Y13. The deadline to book is April 4th. Currently there is an offer that any school who books 10 or more tickets in March will receive a school visit from Joseph Roberts.
