Each year schools in Liverpool join with Place2Be and local CAMHS partners to celebrate Children’s Mental Health Week. Schools are encouraged to take part in both local and national activities to raise awareness around mental health and wellbeing.
2026: This Is My Place
We know that our sense of belonging as individuals, in our friendships, in school, and in communities plays a vital role in our mental health and wellbeing.
To know our place and really feel part of our environment is a basic human need. It can have powerful and long-lasting impacts in lots of areas of our lives, including our physical and mental health, education, employment and relationships. When we feel that we belong, it empowers us to contribute to the world and make a real difference.
Place2Be is encouraging schools to explore the theme of belonging and place. They’ve put together a range of resources including assemblies that schools can access at Place2Be’s Children’s Mental Health Week – Official site

Art Pack
Liverpool Learning Partnership and Arts4Us have created a range of activities to support pupils in exploring what ‘place’ means’ through art. There are ideas that can be adapted for all ages. If you use any of these activities, we’d love to see the resulting artwork and would be happy to use it to create a video/social media post to share with parents/carers/other schools. Please send any photos/videos of artwork to admin@liverpoollearningpartnership.com
