What Is The Liverpool Maths Party?
The Liverpool Maths Party is more than just a day of activities; it’s a city-wide campaign to share positive messages about maths. We want every young person in the city region to feel confident, curious, and informed about the role maths plays in everyday life and future careers.
Get Involved
We invite schools across the Liverpool City Region to get involved by:
– Access the Maths Party padlet and packs filled with ideas
– Get involved in our activities, videos, competitions and campaigning call-outs listed below
– Deliver lessons and activities themed around lifelong maths
– Inspire families and the wider community with positive maths messages through workshops, newsletters and social media.
You Might Choose to..
- Have a cross-curricular day, exploring maths through all your subjects
- Have a special themed maths lesson or club at lunchtime
- Hold a maths party with shape hats, fraction food etc
- Raise money for a charity through an entrepreneurial activity
- Hold competitions for your families to engage in
- Invite governors and parents/carers in to talk about how they use maths in their careers
- Have a maths themed dress up day
You can make the day, whatever works for you… as long as you celebrate positive messages around maths!
