SAVE THE DATE: Liverpool Maths Party, 27th September 2024
The Liverpool Maths Party is an annual event where schools across the city take time to explore the importance of maths to our daily lives. For our 9th year, we will be exploring the theme of “Liverpool and Maths.”
Schools and settings will be invited to explore mathematics through the lens of Liverpool… they could research Liverpool-based mathematicians or find out how local businesses use maths skills; they might look at how shape and measurement is used in Liverpool architecture or explore local transport timetables; they could even look at maths relating to the Fab 4! The open-ended theme will allow schools to think creatively about what aspects of maths to focus on.
We’d like to invite local businesses and organisations who are passionate about education and community engagement to think about how they could support our charity in delivering the Liverpool Maths Party to schools across Liverpool and the City Region!
You could…
– Support the Liverpool Maths Party by providing in-kind support such as educational materials, or expertise
– Host educational workshops or tours for school groups, highlighting the mathematical principles in your industry or field of expertise
– Collaborate with us on the development of educational materials or resources related to maths and your business sector
-Provide financial sponsorship that would allow us to provide resources or deliver events for schools
-Or we’d love to hear your ideas of how you’d like to link-up with the Maths Party!
