PLEASE READ THIS INFORMATION BEFORE BOOKING:

This is a Liverpool Children’s Festival of Reading session with Nadine Kaadan for for Reception and Year 1 at 1pm focusing on the story The Jasmine Sneeze. It will last for around 20 minutes.

There is also a session for KS1 classes based on the book Tomorrow at 11am.

Please choose which event is more suitable for your cohort. We will send the link for both events to anyone who signs up for one of Nadine’s sessions.

This is a FREE session for Liverpool Learning Partnership member schools*.

 About Nadine Kaadan: Nadine Kaadan is an award-winning children’s book author and illustrator from Syria now living in London. She is published in several countries and languages and her mission is to champion empowered and inclusive representation in children’s books so that every child can see themselves in a story.

Nadine’s work with young refugees in mitigating post-conflict trauma has captured the attention of CNN and the BBC, both of which have broadcast special features on her books ‘Tomorrow’ and ‘The Jasmine Sneeze’. She has been nominated for a Kate Greenaway Medal, and is the 2019 winner of the Arab British Centre Award for Culture. Nadine was selected as one of The BBC 100 Women 2020’s ‘most influential and inspiring women’, and was featured on their BBC 100 Women masterclass.

About the session: This session will be live-streamed through the Liverpool Learning Partnership website. The event will also be available to watch for 3 working days after the event on the Liverpool Learning Partnership website. Please purchase a ticket even if you intend to watch afterwards as this will ensure you get the links to do so.

Booking the session: Please book one ticket per school. We’ll send a link that you can then share with the colleagues so they can connect to the session. For our records you will be asked how many children will be accessing the session. We understand that numbers may change before the day so please estimate or calculate using the information you have at the moment.
