About this session
Come and join us as we meet with poet and artist, Ali Harwood, and find out about how maths is an integral part of his creative work. Ali is the author and illustrator of Liverpool Liver Birds and he’ll be explaining the maths underlying this beautiful book. We’ll also find out how he uses coordinates to create large scale murals and how he includes references to numbers within his art and poetry. Ali will lead us in creating some maths-inspired artworks and will give us simple ideas for writing poems inspired by numbers.
This online interactive session will be suitable for pupils in KS2 and will take place on Maths Party Day, 27th September at 9.30am.
This session is available thanks to support from our friends at Merseyrail.
