The third Liverpool Readathon is happening soon! From 3rd – 12th March pupils across Liverpool will be reading as much as they can whilst raising money to buy books and storytellers for children in hospital. To cheer on schools taking part, current Waterstones Children’s Laureate Cressida Cowell will be coming to the Epstein Theatre, Liverpool on 4th March (10.45-11.45) to talk to children in KS2.
Schools taking part in the Liverpool Readathon (either by running a sponsored read or participating in the Drop Everything and Read) can book a maximum of 30 student places at this session. Please contact Jenny@liverpoollearningpartnership.com for availability and further information. If you haven’t signed up to take part in the Liverpool Readathon, you can do so on the Read For Good website (choosing Liverpool 2020 in the drop down box).
Secondary Schools: we’ll be releasing details of our storytelling sessions with Wilf Merttens soon! Watch this space!
