On Friday 6th July children across the city will be celebrating the third annual #LiverpoolMathsParty day! Schools and children’s centres will be taking part in a range of activities that allow pupils to explore how maths is used in everyday life and to celebrate positive messages about maths.
In addition to the activities taking in place in schools, there will be a range of events across Liverpool that families can take part in to celebrate the wonder of maths.
Little Engineers- Liverpool Central Library, William Brown Street 9.30-2.30
Drop in fun with Jenny from Liverpool Learning Partnership. Take part in a range of hands on maths and engineering activities and find out how you can develop your child’s mathematical and scientific understanding just by playing with household items.
Maths Party Day- Sefton Park Library
After school (3.30-4.30) hands on maths fun for children run by St Michael’s ward councillors featuring the Mathstronauts and including maths activities in Spanish!
Maths Party Day- Wigwam Cafe, Rose Lane, Mossley Hill
Drop-in maths fun all day at Wigwam Cafe on Rose Lane plus Maths themed sessions throughout the week from The Little French Workshop, Lingotot Spanish class, Moo Music music and movement and Mitchy Titch Yoga.
Maths Party Day- Big Little Library, Belle Vale Shopping Centre 12.30-4pm

Incy Wincy Rhymers- The Storybarn, Calderstones Park: 10am, 11.30am, 2pm
For Maths Party Day, Incy Wincy Rhymers will include number rhymes and maths based stories.
