On 26th July 2017 pupil representatives from Liverpool schools stepped up to face the ‘dragons’ in our Maths App and Game Dragon’s Den competition.
Pupils from a range of primary, secondary and special schools presented their self-designed maths games and apps to both their peers and a board of education professionals. The competition was incredibly fierce but eventually the winning teams were chosen.
PRIMARY SCHOOL WINNER: St Anne’s (Stanley)
SECONDARY SCHOOL WINNER: Archbishop Blanch
SPECIAL SCHOOL WINNER: Childwall Abbey
OVERALL WINNER:St Paul and St Timothy Infants
Here are some of the comments on St Paul and St Timothy’s healthy eating coordinates game from their competitors:
“It’s very creative and exciting to play.”
“They were quite young, but were very confident in front of everyone. We liked the healthy eating aspect and the concept of battleships.”
“Excellent design and a lot of creativity.”
Special mention should also be made to our runners-up: St Cecilia’s Infants and Archbishop Beck.
The Dragon’s were impressed with the effort shown by all of the schools who presented on the day. Well done to everyone involved!
